Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen: The World, the Curse, and Why the Dub Cast Matters
The premise of Jujutsu Kaisen is built on pressure. Yuji Itadori is not chosen or specially trained: he eats a cursed finger to save his friends and spends the rest of the series dealing with what that means. MAPPA directed significant resources at making that tension physical; the animation in Season 1 is choreographed to communicate the weight and cost of every fight, which puts the voice cast in the position of matching that energy line by line. Studiopolis, the studio behind the English dub, has produced some of the most-cited anime dubs of the past decade.
Jujutsu Kaisen Voice Cast: Itadori, Gojo, Sukuna and the Season 1 Ensemble
The Jujutsu Kaisen voice actors do their best work in roles that pull against type. Adam McArthur voices Yuji Itadori, his longest prior role was Marco Diaz in Star vs. the Forces of Evil, a character defined by loyalty and suppressed feeling. Kaiji Tang plays Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer alive. Tang’s background spans Genshin Impact and Kill la Kill, giving him fluency with power that reads as casual arrogance. Robbie Daymond voices Megumi Fushiguro, having played Akechi in Persona 5, a character built on logic and concealed damage. Ray Chase is Ryomen Sukuna, and credits including Noctis in Final Fantasy XV and Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer confirm his talent for voices that sound contained until they aren’t.
