Suzie Yeung

Suzie Yeung’s Ascent Through Anime, Games, and Beyond
What makes Suzie Yeung’s career remarkable is how quickly it took shape. Her entry into voice acting came in 2018 when she auditioned for Kaban in the English dub of Kemono Friends – landing the role after losing a previous job due to a department dissolution. Self-taught, with no formal training, she had spent years absorbing characters from cartoons, anime, and games. That instinct for performance translated directly into a body of work that now spans over 150 credits across studios including FUNimation/Crunchyroll, Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Studiopolis, and Sound Cadence.
Yuffie, Makima, and the Roles That Defined Her
The casting of Yeung as Yuffie Kisaragi in Final Fantasy VII Remake put her in front of a global audience overnight. She reprised the role in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, bringing the same fizzing energy and fierce loyalty to one of gaming’s most beloved side characters. Alongside Yuffie, her portrayal of Eula in Genshin Impact and Piper Wheel in Zenless Zone Zero cemented her as a key voice in HoYoverse’s flagship franchises.
On the anime side, her casting as Makima in Chainsaw Man drew immediate attention. Playing a character who projects warmth while concealing something profoundly dangerous requires precise vocal restraint – Yeung delivered that in every scene, earning wide critical praise for the English dub and reprising the role in Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc in 2025.
86 and the Weight of Command
Her performance as Vladilena “Lena” Milize in 86 Eighty-Six earned her a nomination at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Lena is a character who carries the full contradiction of institutional privilege and moral collapse – a role that demanded both authority and anguish. Yeung threaded that line across two seasons, producing one of the more emotionally demanding performances in recent dubbed anime.
Gaming’s Expanding Footprint
Beyond HoYoverse and Final Fantasy, Yeung voiced Fuuka Yamagishi in Persona 3 Reload, Hinako Shimizu in Silent Hill f, Hanya in Honkai: Star Rail, Hope in Fortnite Battle Royale, and Sue Storm / Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, she has also taken on voice work in both languages – an edge that continues to open doors across international productions.
