Robbie Daymond

Robbie Daymond’s Path from Missouri Stages to Marvel’s Web-Slinger
Few career arcs in American voice acting move with quite the momentum Robbie Daymond has built since making the jump to full-time voice work around 2010. Raised in Warrenton, Missouri after an early childhood in Chesterfield, Daymond studied theatre at Webster University before earning a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2004, then an MFA in 2007 – the same year he relocated to Los Angeles. Early years in the city balanced college instruction with on-camera commercials and television before voice-over gradually consumed his schedule entirely. By 2011, studios across animation, anime, and video games had become his permanent home.
Spider-Man and the Marvel Animated Universe
Casting as Peter Parker in the 2017 Disney XD series Marvel’s Spider-Man pushed Daymond into a new tier of visibility. The role extended across a half-decade run that included Avengers Assemble, Guardians of the Galaxy, Maximum Venom, Marvel Disney Live, Disney Parks, and Marvel Cruises – an unusually long stretch of cross-platform commitment to one superhero identity. The consistency cemented him as the Marvel Animated Universe’s primary voice for the character during that era.
Persona 5, Final Fantasy XV, and the RPG Landscape
Game audiences came to know him through a string of high-profile RPG castings that arrived in close succession. As Goro Akechi in Persona 5, Daymond handled one of the JRPG genre’s more demanding character arcs – a rival detective whose layered motivations required tonal range across a long, carefully paced story. Prompto Argentum in Final Fantasy XV pulled in a different direction: the role demanded warmth, comedic timing, and emotional authenticity within an ensemble cast. Hubert von Vestra in Fire Emblem: Three Houses added a third distinct register, leaning into cold intelligence and dry wit.
Anime Work and the Jujutsu Kaisen Connection
On the anime dubbing side, Daymond built a substantial body of work across multiple decades and studios. Tuxedo Mask in the Viz Media redub of Sailor Moon marked an early breakthrough. Later came Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Mumen Rider in One-Punch Man, Chrollo Lucilfer in the Hunter x Hunter reboot, and Chai in Hi-Fi Rush. His output across union and independent dub studios remained consistent until around late 2021, when mainstream on-camera and live performance opportunities drew more of his time – though select dubbing commitments have continued.
Critical Role, Entrepreneurship, and Beyond Voice Acting
On-camera work as Dorian Storm in the Dungeons & Dragons actual-play series Critical Role and its spinoff Exandria Unlimited introduced Daymond to a live-performance audience that overlaps with but extends well beyond traditional animation fandom. Outside the booth, he co-owns the indie game studio Sassy Chap Games and runs S-Tier Apparel, a streetwear label focused on licensed nerd-adjacent collaborations. He is also a founding member of the comedy troupe Loud, Annoying, and Very Annoying.
