Laura Post

Laura Post’s Rise as a Voice for Complex Women
Chicago shaped her early ear for performance, but Columbia College Chicago sharpened it into a craft. Post graduated in 2007 with a degree in film and video animation, having already begun working in audio dramas, commercials, and industrial narration. Mentors including Steve Staley, Tony Oliver, and Bob Bergen helped push her toward the anime and game dubbing world, and she now works out of the Los Angeles area as both a voice actress and voice director.
Kill la Kill and a Career-Defining Villainess
Ragyo Kiryuin gave Post a role that demanded both menace and theatrical scale, and the performance became a signature. That same command of powerful, layered female characters carried into Nozomi Tojo in Love Live! School Idol Project and Diana Cavendish in Little Witch Academia, a production she later returned to as voice director rather than cast member.
Ahri, Azshara, and a Long Run in Games
League of Legends brought Post into games early, casting her as Ahri back in 2009, a role still active well over a decade later. World of Warcraft followed with Queen Azshara, a part she has said she waited years to land. Persona 5 Royal added Kasumi and Sumire Yoshizawa to her catalog, while Genshin Impact and Marvel Rivals brought Yelan and Emma Frost.
Selective Choices in a Shifting Streaming Era
Around 2022, Post stepped back from the wave of streaming-exclusive anime dubs, sticking instead to union productions and reprisals of roles she already owned. Output has not slowed as a result. Recent years brought her back to Ranma 1/2 as Kasumi Tendo for Netflix, added Borderlands 4 and Avowed to her game credits, and saw her contribute to the indie horror title Casting Whispers.
