Panda

Panda’s Story Role in Tekken 8
Known by her fighter title “Pretty Protector,” Panda operates as both pet and guardian to Ling Xiaoyu, a dual role that defines her entire arc in Tekken 8. When Xiaoyu vanishes from home chasing leads on the missing Jin Kazama, Panda refuses to let her go alone, tracking her down all the way to the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters. Rather than drag Xiaoyu back, she joins the global search, even taking time to coordinate Xiaoyu’s outfits so she looks her best if Jin ever turns up. Six months of dead ends haven’t broken either of them, and Panda remains as resolute as the day she first pledged her protection.
Panda’s Personality and Fighting Style
Despite being a bear, Panda shows a near-human level of empathy; she reads Xiaoyu’s moods with quiet precision and responds with warmth rather than just brute force. Her playful streak surfaces often, mirroring Xiaoyu’s bubbly energy, but flip the switch and she’s all business, especially when Kuma shows up with his unwanted romantic advances. In Tekken 8, her combat style is the Heihachi-Style Advanced Kuma Shin Ken, and for the first time she also inherits several attacks directly from Xiaoyu’s moveset, giving her a unique blend of raw bear power and agile footwork that sets her apart from Kuma on the roster.
Who Voices Panda in Tekken 8?
Panda does not have a traditional spoken English voice actor, as her in-game vocalizations are animal-based rather than dialogue-driven. On the Japanese side, she is voiced by Taketora, a role the actor is best known for from the Tekken series across multiple entries including the animated film Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
