Junya Enoki’s Path to Voice Acting Stardom

College life changed everything for Enoki. Friends introduced him to anime, and after watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, he decided to pursue voice acting as a career. He entered Atomic Monkey’s Voice Actor and Acting Laboratory during his third year of university, training there before joining the agency full-time after graduation. His cousin, fellow seiyuu Chika Anzai, gave him an early window into the industry long before he considered it a realistic path for himself.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the Rise of Pannacotta Fugo

Recognition came through JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, where Enoki voiced Pannacotta Fugo, a gang member wrestling with loyalty and morality inside the criminal organization Passione. The role introduced him to a wider anime audience and showcased a quieter, more introspective register than some of his later work would require.

Yuji Itadori and the Jujutsu Kaisen Phenomenon

Casting as Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen turned Enoki into one of the most recognized voices of his generation. The Shibuya Incident arc demanded raw, physical performances, and Enoki reportedly got down on his hands and knees during recording sessions to match Itadori’s anguish in one particularly harrowing scene. That commitment carried through the franchise’s film releases and into Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, which began airing in January 2026.

Beyond Anime: Tom Holland’s Japanese Voice and Career Range

Outside anime, Enoki became the regular Japanese dubbing voice for Tom Holland, lending his voice to Peter Parker across multiple Spider-Man and Marvel Cinematic Universe releases. He expanded into live-action work with a leading role in the Hulu Japan film I Still Want to Dream, and in mid-2025 he left Atomic Monkey, the agency that trained him, to join the newly formed Asleben alongside two fellow performers.

Digimon, Vanguard, and a Wide-Ranging Game Catalog

Enoki’s catalog reaches well beyond a single franchise. He voiced Takeru Takaishi across Digimon Adventure tri. and its sequel film, played Shion Kiba in Cardfight!! Vanguard G, and took on Nasa Yuzaki in the romantic comedy Tonikaku Kawaii. In games, he lent his voice to Kunihiro Horikawa in Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-, adding to a portfolio spanning otome titles, action games, and long-running mobile properties.
