Marvel’s Spider-Man

Insomniac’s New York and What the Voice Cast Was Built to Carry
Insomniac Games made one creative decision that changed how the whole cast had to perform: Peter Parker is 23, not a teenager. He has experience, history with the villains, and the weight of choices already made. Director Bryan Intihar built a New York that reflects that a city Peter loves and is running out of room to protect. That framing demanded actors who could locate a character inside a superhero, not just put on a costume. The PS4’s extended cutscenes and nuanced facial capture gave the cast space to do exactly that.
Voice Cast: Lowenthal, Bailey, Salyers and the Central Performances
The Marvel’s Spider-Man voice cast is built around four precise decisions. Yuri Lowenthal voices Peter Parker; known for Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto and teen Ben Tennyson in Ben 10, he brings long-form character development to a role that earned him a BAFTA nomination for this performance. Laura Bailey voices Mary Jane Watson; her BAFTA win for Abby in The Last of Us Part II and her work as Kait Diaz in Gears 5 confirm she handles dramatic weight cleanly, and MJ’s investigative storyline is exactly that. William Salyers plays Otto Octavius known for Rigby in Regular Show, his fluency with likeable selfishness gives Otto’s arc its impact. Travis Willingham voices Kingpin; his extensive Marvel animation credits give Fisk the authority the role requires from its opening scene.
