New York City-born on March 5, 1991, Emi Lo entered the English dubbing industry in 2019 and accelerated at a pace that few voice actors manage in a full decade. Taiwanese/Chinese-American and agender, Lo built their career across major studios – Crunchyroll, Sentai Filmworks, Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Sound Cadence Studios, NYAV Post, OkraTron 5000, and Studiopolis – while operating a home studio that allowed remote recording from both Dallas and, after relocating in 2021, Los Angeles. Around the same time, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners role of Lucyna “Lucy” Kushinada gave Lo one of the most emotionally demanding parts in recent dubbing memory – a hacker whose fragility and resolve run in parallel throughout the series.
