Zeno Robinson

Zeno Robinson’s Journey from Ben 10 to Anime Award Winner
At just 14 years old, Zeno Robinson walked into a recording booth to voice Alan Albright in Ben 10: Alien Force – a debut that quietly set the foundation for one of American voice acting’s most exciting careers. A Los Angeles native who caught the performance bug in middle school, Robinson trained through the “All About Kids” program before signing with CESD Talent, where he went on to study under industry veterans including Charlie Adler, Phil Lamarr, Tony Oliver, and Ginny McSwain.
Hawks, My Hero Academia, and the Crunchyroll Win
The role of Hawks – the sharp-tongued, morally complex pro hero in My Hero Academia – became Robinson’s career-defining breakthrough. The performance earned him the Best Voice Artist Performance (English) award at the 2021 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, a milestone that cemented his standing in the English dubbing community. What made the win resonate was the nuance Robinson brought to a character walking the razor’s edge between allegiance and deception – nothing about that portrayal came easy, and audiences felt it.
Young Justice, The Owl House, and Western Animation Range
Outside of anime, Robinson built an equally striking record in Western animation. His take on Cyborg/Victor Stone in Young Justice gave the character emotional weight and grounded humanity across multiple seasons. In The Owl House, he voiced Hunter – a.k.a. the Golden Guard – navigating one of the show’s most emotionally demanding arcs. The role demanded a full tonal shift from menace to vulnerability, and Robinson delivered both convincingly. His work as Remy Remington in Disney’s Big City Greens showed yet another register: warm, comedic, and reliably human.
Video Games: Persona 3 Reload, Genshin Impact, and Beyond
On the gaming side, Robinson landed Junpei Iori in Persona 3 Reload – a role he had personally campaigned for, having long been a fan of the franchise. The casting paid off. Alongside that, his work as Sethos in Genshin Impact and Dee Jay in Street Fighter 6 extended his footprint into major gaming franchises. Gamma 2 in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero earned him a Crunchyroll nomination in 2023 – a full-circle moment for someone who grew up watching Dragon Ball Z.
