Phantom Blade Zero

Release Date: Oct 29, 2026
Developer: S-GAME

Soul has 66 days to live, a replacement heart that beats on borrowed time, and an entire assassin order hunting him across the Wulin. S-GAME’s Phantom Blade Zero turns that countdown into a wuxia action RPG built on what the Chinese studio calls kungfupunk, pairing authentic martial arts with a darker, stranger world. The Phantom Blade Zero voice cast works in both English and Chinese, with full lip-sync in each language. Jay Maksenuk voices Soul in English, while Donnie Yen performs Mó Yuan through facial and motion capture. The game launches October 29 on PS5 and PC.

Phantom Blade Zero Story and Setting: A Dying Assassin in the Wulin

The story opens at its lowest point. Soul loses a sword duel to Zuo Shang, his former blood brother, and is revived by the Flesh Sculptor with a heart that comes with an expiry date. From there the game runs on distrust, with rival factions, old loyalties and a hero who cannot afford to waste a day. S-GAME built the combat around real kung fu, yet a plot this dependent on betrayal lives or dies on its dialogue. That is why the people behind each voice and each performance capture matter more here than in a typical action RPG.

Soul Voice Actor Jay Maksenuk and Mó Yuan Performer Donnie Yen in Phantom Blade Zero

The Phantom Blade Zero voice cast has one confirmed English lead and one martial arts icon behind a key character. Jay Maksenuk voices Soul after credits in Once Human and Love and Deepspace, and the role suits a performer who can play a trained killer holding himself together while his body runs out the clock. Donnie Yen, best known for the Ip Man films and John Wick: Chapter 4, plays Mó Yuan, Soul’s father, through facial and motion capture. S-GAME’s announcement credits him with that performance and with creative consultancy since 2023, so the character belongs to a kung fu style Yen helped shape. S-GAME also says both language tracks were refined by its own actors and directors, which matters for a lead who carries so much of the plot.

Phantom Blade Zero Characters: What Is Confirmed and Where to Look Next

Everyone else in the Order, including Zuo Shang and the Flesh Sculptor, had no confirmed English credit at the time of writing, so this page lists only what S-GAME and its partners have verified. The Phantom Blade Zero voice actors table below will grow as the launch credits arrive and each new name gets a profile. Open any character page from the table to see how Soul, Mó Yuan and the rest of the Wulin fit together, and what each performer adds to the role.
