Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy A New Setting, A Different Kind of Lead
Seven years of Amicia and Hugo shaped what most people think A Plague Tale is: a series about protecting someone fragile while staying out of sight. Resonance is a deliberate step away. Sophia has been a fighter since childhood, raised inside a Venetian criminal gang, and Asobo rebuilt the series’ combat from the ground up to match her. Director David Dedeine said the team wanted to preserve their creative momentum by taking a new direction, and the shift to Crete and melee-forward gameplay reflects that intent. Composer Olivier Derivière, who scored both prior franchise entries, returns for the soundtrack.
A Plague Tale Legacy Voice Cast Anna Demetriou as Sophia
Anna Demetriou leads the Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy voice cast as Sophia, reprising the role she originated in A Plague Tale: Requiem. Asobo’s brief for the character required Mediterranean casting; Demetriou is half Greek-Cypriot, and the studio sent her to Greece during production. She performed in full motion-capture, recording voice, face, and body together, which is why Sophia’s physicality in combat and cutscenes reads as cohesive. Demetriou’s broader credits include multiple characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dorys in Final Fantasy XVI, both requiring vocal precision in scenes built on limited dialogue. Sophia in Resonance is harder and more guarded than Amicia, and her emotional interior becomes legible through action rather than exposition. That is the kind of performance Demetriou’s LAMDA training prepared her for.
