Earth conquest looks simple on paper, until a small army of yellow henchmen gets involved. That's the situation facing the robot-alien invader who touches down in 1920s Hollywood in Minions & Monsters, eyeing the Minions as recruits for a hostile takeover before their chaos, and a suffragette named Debbie, complicate every plan he has.

Dort’s Story Role

The Minions clock him as a potential new boss, pulled in by his commanding presence and grand ambitions to rule the planet. That bravado doesn’t hold up under scrutiny, though. Small hesitations slip through his booming threats, and his attempts at menace land somewhere between comic and endearing. Once Debbie’s kindness starts chipping away at his programmed confidence, the character shifts from would-be conqueror toward something warmer, eventually standing alongside the Minions when Hollywood needs saving.

Who Voices Dort in Minions & Monsters?

Jesse Eisenberg supplies the English-language voice, an actor recognized for The Social Network, Zombieland, and Now You See Me, and this marks his first animated feature role since the Rio films. In Japan’s dub, actor Yudai Chiba takes over the role, known to audiences from his tokusatsu debut as Gosei Red in Tensou Sentai Goseiger and his voice work as Illima in Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon.
