Sweet-natured with his dinosaur companions but assertive when one of them acts out, he has a particular soft spot for baby dinosaurs and a long-standing bond with his ride-or-die T-Rex friend Timmy.

Hayden Chemberlen takes on the role of Rex in the film, bringing fresh energy to a character previously voiced by Austin Farley in the television series. Chemberlen’s casting was confirmed as part of the full ensemble announcement in May 2025, with the young actor joining a lineup that includes Mckenna Grace, Jennifer Hudson, Terry Crews, and Snoop Dogg.
