Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall

Knightfall was the Batman story that asked what happens when Bruce Wayne simply runs out. Jeff Wamester, who directed Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, brings that same event-scale approach here, and Jeremy Adams’s script works from a source spanning dozens of issues and multiple creative teams. Warner Bros. Animation is releasing the film as R-rated, a rating that fits how the original comic handled Bane’s systematic destruction of Batman’s body and mind. This is Part 1 of a planned trilogy, covering the ground that matters most: the breaking.
The Batman: Knightfall voice cast makes three decisions worth examining. Anson Mount voices Bruce Wayne, his second time as Batman after DC’s Injustice film. Mount is best known as Captain Christopher Pike in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, a role built on composure under pressure, and that quality maps onto a Batman who must hold together as everything falls apart. Michael Mando plays Bane; his years in the MCU as Mac Gargan/Scorpion required physical menace through controlled stillness, which is precisely how the comic version of Bane operates. Pablo Schreiber takes Jean-Paul Valley, the Azrael who will eventually replace Bruce under the cowl. Schreiber played Master Chief across Paramount+’s Halo, voicing a soldier whose identity fractures under institutional pressure the same tension that drives Valley throughout the trilogy.
The cast table on this page lists every confirmed Batman: Knightfall voice actor for Part 1, paired to the character they play. Each entry links through to an individual character page covering full credit history and production context. With Parts 2 and 3 of the trilogy still to come, the character pages are the fastest way to track how the cast expands as Warner Bros. and DC confirm additional roles across the full trilogy. Start with whoever you want to know more about.
