Batman: Arkham Knight
In Batman: Arkham Knight, you step into the cape and cowl of Batman, brought to life by Kevin Conroy, whose deep, commanding performance has defined the character across the classic Batman: The Animated Series and multiple DC animated films. His voice anchors the entire story, balancing world-weary grit with vulnerable moments of doubt.
The game’s central threat, Scarecrow, is voiced by John Noble. You’ll hear his chilling, calculated delivery – the same intensity he brought to Denethor in The Lord of the Rings and Walter Bishop in Fringe – as he terrorizes Gotham with a massive fear toxin attack.
The Arkham Knight himself, a militarized rival to Batman who knows all his tricks, is played by Troy Baker. Baker’s no stranger to gaming icons, also known for Joel in The Last of Us and Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, and he gives the Knight a bitter, personal edge.
Mark Hamill returns as the Joker in a twisted psychological role inside Batman’s mind. If you recognize echoes of Luke Skywalker, it’s no coincidence, but Hamill’s legendary Joker performance is pure chaos, swinging from dark comedy to genuine menace.
You’ll also hear Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, keeping her unhinged energy from various DC animated projects and the Injustice games. Jonathan Banks voices Commissioner Gordon with the weary toughness fans know from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, while Ashley Greene plays Oracle/Barbara Gordon, adding emotional weight to Batman’s closest ally in the field.
If you’re into great performances, Batman: Arkham Knight is packed with top-tier voice talent. Dive into the game’s credits or a full cast list and you might discover a few of your favorite actors hiding under those Gotham masks.
