Yasutaka Tomioka

Yasutaka Tomioka’s Place in the World of Anime Voice Performance
Quietly building a career from the ground up, Tomioka Yasutaka has become a recognizable name within Japan’s seiyuu community. His path reflects the reality of most working seiyuu – built through recurring supporting roles and ensemble casts before landing more prominent placements.

Arise Project and the Path Through Supporting Roles
Affiliated with Arise Project since 2018, Tomioka spent his early years working through episodic roles in titles ranging from Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill to Anne Shirley and Battle Spirits: Kakumei no Galatte. That kind of groundwork – small parts across a wide range of genres – is where most seiyuu sharpen their craft. His work in Final Fantasy XIV as multiple named characters marked an early foothold in the gaming space, while the 2022 Gundam theatrical film Cucuruz Doan’s Island gave him a named film credit. The arrival of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX in 2025, a high-profile Sunrise and Studio Khara co-production, placed him within one of the most talked-about Gundam entries in years.
