Valeria Rodriguez Builds a Career Across Anime, Games, and Animation

A Cancún, Mexico native now working out of Los Angeles, Rodriguez signed with VOX, Inc. and picked up early video game work including additional voices on Wasteland 3. Small assignments opened doors into anime dubbing, recurring animated series roles, and eventually starring parts across several major franchises.

Voicing Venture in Overwatch 2

Blizzard cast Rodriguez as Venture, a non-binary demolitions specialist added to the Overwatch roster in 2023. The role became one of her most visible, drawing a following that tracks her convention appearances and updates about the character. Rodriguez has described herself as a longtime Overwatch player who mained several other heroes before landing the part.

Ranma ½, To Your Eternity, and Anime Dubbing

Netflix’s 2024 reboot of Ranma ½ put Rodriguez in the title role of Akane Tendo, a part she reprised for the second season. Her dubbing work also spans Parona across multiple seasons of To Your Eternity, Kusue Hakozaki in I’m Standing on 1,000,000 Lives, and supporting roles in Pluto, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers, Ishura, and 2025’s A Star Brighter Than the Sun.

Cookie Run, Monster High, and Genshin Impact

In games and animation, Rodriguez voices Strawberry Crepe Cookie across the Cookie Run franchise and its spinoff Last Cookie Standing, plus Lagoona Blue in Nickelodeon’s Monster High reboot. She originally voiced Sucrose in Genshin Impact before HoYoverse recast the role during the 2024-2025 SAG-AFTRA video game strike. Other game credits include Fire Emblem Heroes, Phantasy Star Online 2, Outerplane, and Honkai: Star Rail.

Recent and Upcoming Work

Rodriguez took an on-camera role in the 2024 Prime Video series Zorro and joined Netflix’s animated Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 as Rosario, which premiered in 2026. Between conventions, studio bookings, and streaming projects, she continues adding both voice and live-action credits to her résumé.
