Shala Nyx’s Impact on Video Game Storytelling

Shala Nyx is a British actress and voice artist rooted in South London whose career spans West End theatre, television, film, and the gaming industry. Her early career began in London’s prestigious West End, and she trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Nyx has received accolades for her theatre and humanitarian efforts in shows including “Kabul Goes Pop” and “A Thousand Splendid Suns” on UK National Tours.

In gaming, Nyx delivers some of the industry’s most memorable performances. Her title role as Sciel in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 marked her most prominent voice role to date. She also voices Devella Fountainhead in Baldur’s Gate III, Farida Nazeri in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and Polly in Harmony: The Fall of Reverie. Nyx additionally performs motion capture for the Warhammer franchise games and appears in Netflix’s The Old Guard alongside Charlize Theron.
