Minoru Yada (矢田 稔) is a Japanese voice actor, actor, and singer born April 27, 1931, in Tokyo, Japan. With a career spanning over 80 years, he is known for roles in Studio Ghibli films including Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Porco Rosso, and Pom Poko, as well as long-running anime series such as Moomin and Anpanman. A recipient of the Seiyuu Award for Distinguished Service, Yada remains one of the most enduring figures in Japanese voice acting history.

Yada was scouted by Suguru Sasaki and entered the entertainment industry in 1939 as a child actor and singer. He has been active as a voice actor since Japan’s anime industry was still in its early days, giving him a career spanning over eight decades. He is affiliated with Kekke Corporation and serves as an advisor to the Japan Actors’ Union.
