Kimoy Lee’s Path Into Voice Acting

Growing up in Cape Town, South Africa, as what she has called a “tour baby” following her parents’ careers in music, storytelling and performance became part of daily life well before Kimoy Lee saw voice work as a real career option. Half-Black and half-Chinese, she eventually landed in Los Angeles, where a self-recorded home demo opened the door to her first bookings. Represented by CESD Talent Agency, she now moves between anime dubbing, video game casting, and animated comedy.

Cookie Run: Kingdom and Candy Apple Cookie

Her most recognized credit is Candy Apple Cookie in the mobile game Cookie Run: Kingdom, a part that built her a devoted following across TikTok and Instagram. She also voices a younger version of Pure Vanilla Cookie in the same title. The role turned her into a familiar name within the Cookie Run fan community, where clips of her livestreams and convention appearances circulate widely.

Rooster Fighter, Medalist, and Witch Watch

On the anime side, she plays Piyoko and Girl A in Rooster Fighter, contributes additional voices to Medalist as Sana Niwatori, and appears in Witch Watch as Syrup. She also voices Chie, Mishiro’s sister, in Shiboyugi: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table, and plays Talia Yang in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Earlier credits include a Shaman role in the mobile title Guardian Tales.

Beyond the Booth

Her résumé extends into animated comedy through the BET+ series Lil Kev, where she voices Soupy, Dirty Dante, and Lauryn. She has also lent her voice to major game releases including Monster Hunter Wilds and Honkai: Star Rail. Away from recording sessions, she trained as a singer and works as a postpartum doula, keeping her performance career paired with community-facing work.
