Tokyo native Kento Kaku first made his mark in Japanese live-action drama and film before earning prominent voice roles in two of Disney's biggest animated productions. The 2019 GQ Japan Breakthrough Actor winner and creator of the production company SIGNAL181, he is also known for Alice in Borderland and House of Ninjas. Best known for voicing Simba in The Lion King (2019), Simba in Mufasa: The Lion King (2024), and Luca in SPY x FAMILY Code: White (2023).

Kaku’s entertainment path started young – scouted through a talent agency before he finished school, he dropped out of Aoyama Gakuin University’s School of Business to pursue acting full-time. After years of steady television work, his career accelerated sharply from 2018 onward, earning him the 2019 GQ Japan Men of the Year Breakthrough Actor award. His live-action credits include Alice in Borderland and House of Ninjas, the latter of which he also co-wrote. In 2022, he ended his long-running exclusive contract with Amuse Inc. and went independent, later establishing the video production company SIGNAL181 in 2024.
