Giancarlo Sabogal’s Path to the Booth

A bi-coastal childhood shaped the actor early on. Summers with his father in Los Angeles and the rest of the year with his mother across Miami exposed him to overlapping cultures that sharpened his ear for accents and character work. With Peruvian and Italian roots, he grew up outside Miami’s dominant Cuban-American identity, drawing instead from several different communities at once. That range became a professional asset once he started writing and performing in a viral Miami-focused sketch comedy series, work that put his comedic timing and vocal flexibility in front of an audience for the first time.

Morris and the Psychonauts 2 Cast

Double Fine’s 2021 platformer sequel handed him one of his first major game credits, voicing Morris the Motherlobe intern alongside a roster mixing returning franchise veterans with newcomers. The role called for comic timing under pressure, a skill carried over from sketch work, and it introduced him to a wider base of game fans following the long-awaited follow-up to the original Psychonauts.

Robbie Reyes and the Ghost Rider Role

He joined Marvel’s roster as Robbie Reyes in Marvel’s Midnight Suns in 2022, voicing the mechanic-turned-antihero through the tactics game’s campaign and expansions. He returned to the character years later for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, again voicing Ghost Rider in the English dub opposite Katsuyuki Konishi’s Japanese performance, giving him the rare distinction of carrying a Marvel character across two separate game franchises.

Starfield and the Spider-Man Games

Bethesda’s Starfield cast him in three named roles, Henry “Hank” Ferraro, Lieutenant Gualter Azevedo, and Miguel Rivas, spread across the space RPG’s factions and questlines. He also contributed additional voices to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and its 2023 sequel, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, along with The Elder Scrolls Online expansions Blackwood, High Isle, and Necrom.

Animation and Screen Credits

Pixar’s Disney+ series Dream Productions cast him as Naseem for three episodes in 2024, placing him inside the mockumentary-style spinoff of the Inside Out universe. Earlier work includes Mr. Ernesto and Mr. Grumpman on The Action Pack, a supporting voice on the animated comedy Grimsburg, English dub work on Epic Seven as Schuri, and a recurring live-action part as Jon on Shameless. Mafia: The Old Country added Gaetano Sciacca to his game credits in 2025, extending a steady run across both animated and live-action projects.
