Gushing over Magical Girls and Breakthrough
The 2024 anime season marked a turning point for Izumi. Her portrayal of Utena Hiiragi in Gushing over Magical Girls – a character who both admires and transforms into the villain Magia Baiser – demanded a wide emotional range that drew significant attention to her work. That same year, she was cast as Rin Rindō, the central protagonist of the racing anime Highspeed Etoile, a high-profile lead role that further cemented her position at Amuse.
From VIMS to Amuse
After debuting under VIMS and growing through ensemble voice unit work like SHiFT (for the Z/X franchise), Izumi left the agency on August 31, 2022. She joined Amuse Inc. on October 5, 2022, following a brief freelance period. Her inspiration to pursue voice acting came from watching Miyu Irino’s performance as Kōshi Sugawara in Haikyū!!.
