Ewan Bailey is a British actor and voice artist based in London, known for his versatile work in video games, BBC radio drama, film, and television. His notable roles include Byron Rosfield in Final Fantasy XVI, Skalpel in The First Berserker: Khazan, and characters in the Harry Potter game series, alongside screen appearances in The Death of Stalin and Rome.

Bailey studied History at Oxford University before training as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He co-founded the theatre company Rubbaball, which performed comedy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and went on to write and perform for numerous BBC radio comedy shows, including the British Comedy Award-winning series The Sunday Format. In 2016, he co-led the BBC Radio Drama award-winning series Ambiguous Loss.

Voice Work

Bailey is especially known for his extreme versatility as a voice artist, covering animation, video games, and audiobooks. He has voiced characters across over 200 BBC radio dramas and comedies, and narrated more than 100 hours of documentary content. His video game credits include:

  • Byron Rosfield in Final Fantasy XVI (2023) stepping in to replace the late Stephen Critchlow, who passed away from cancer during production

Film & Television

On screen, Bailey has appeared in The Death of Stalin (2017), Judge Dredd, and TV series including RomeEastEndersDoctor WhoCasualty, and The Bill. He also writes, produces, and directs short films through his company Ewan Bailey Films one of which was BAFTA long-listed and won multiple international festival awards.
