Eric Meyers

Background and narration work
Originally from New York and now long‑established in the UK, Meyers began his career in Los Angeles radio before moving into on‑camera roles and voiceover. As a documentary narrator he has worked for broadcasters including Discovery, NatGeo, Smithsonian Channel, PBS, BBC and ITV, bringing a mix of authority and intrigue to science, nature and true‑crime programming. His credits span shows like Naked Science, Autopsy, When Sharks Attack, I Shouldn’t Be Alive and 747 Jumbo Jet: The Plane that Changed the World, helping define the tone of modern factual TV.
Games, animation and other roles
Meyers has also voiced “jillions of cartoon and PC game characters,” including advisor Hauser in the strategy game Songs of Silence and roles in Cyberpunk 2077 and Beyond a Steel Sky. For younger audiences he is known as Henry the Lizard in Disney Channel’s Amazing Animals, where he leans into a playful, curious style very different from his documentary gravitas. His screen acting includes appearances in films such as Snatch, Woman in Gold and A Hologram for the King, demonstrating that his talents extend well beyond the recording booth.
Recent projects and recognition
In recent years Meyers has continued to narrate episodes of NOVA and other science series, maintaining a regular presence on PBS while also voicing new documentary strands for international broadcasters. He has added game work like RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business and voice roles in projects such as 7 Bears and Puss in Boots to his résumé, underlining his versatility across genres. His audiobook catalogue includes acclaimed titles like The Wolf of Wall Street and The Stranger, and he has earned recognition such as an AudioFile Earphones Award for his narration of Madness Is Better than Defeat.
