Dylan Torrell

Dylan Torrell’s Rise Through Film and Television
At an age when most young actors are still navigating student films and school plays, Dylan Torrell secured his first screen credits and began building a filmography that spans short films, international television, and now major feature productions. Holding dual British and Spanish nationality, Torrell has moved fluidly between English and Spanish-language projects – a dual-cultural identity that has clearly shaped the range of work he pursues. He trains under the Le Blanc School of Acting and with coach Mark Jermin, grounding his work in disciplined craft.
His early short film credits – including La Leyenda de Oriol (credited as Dylan Torrell Robertson), Annie, and The Weeping Man – established a pattern of leading roles rather than supporting appearances. Directors praised his ability to grasp the emotional core of a scene quickly, a quality that translated well to the short format where economy of performance matters. Zama followed, adding to a string of Spanish-produced work that positioned him as a credible presence in both the UK and Spanish film industries.
The Restoration and Growing Profile
The 2024 feature The Restoration marked a notable step up, giving Torrell the lead role of Luca and wider exposure to industry figures beyond the short film circuit. That same year, he appeared in Series 3 of The Mallorca Files, the Amazon Prime Video crime drama series, playing Paco Garcia. Landing a recurring guest role in a streaming series with international distribution is a meaningful milestone for any young actor, and Torrell’s appearance in that production put his name in front of a significantly larger audience.
Islands, Tom Holland, and the Lego Short
In 2025, two credits arrived that substantially raised Torrell’s profile. The feature film Islands – a thriller starring Sam Riley and Stacy Martin – cast him as Anton and received a worldwide cinema release. The Rotten Tomatoes critics score for Islands sits at 92%, a strong reception that draws additional attention to the cast. Earlier in that same year, Torrell appeared as Kid Press Reporter in Never Stop Playing, a Lego short film directed by the award-winning directing duo Los Perez and starring Tom Holland. The project brought him onto a production set with one of the biggest names in contemporary cinema, and the short circulated widely online.
Black Tides and the Path Forward
Currently in post-production, Black Tides represents the most significant project of Torrell’s career to date. Directed by Renny Harlin – known for large-scale action and thriller productions – the film is a Spanish survival thriller in which Torrell plays Sebastian Pierce, a role within the core family unit of a story that centers on Melissa Barrera and John Travolta. Ella Bleu Travolta and Alvaro Mel round out the cast. An upcoming voice role in the film Deep Water (2026) also sits on his horizon, signaling a willingness to explore work beyond on-screen performance.
