Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe’s Journey from Hogwarts to the Voice Booth
Harry Potter made Daniel Radcliffe a household name at age twelve. What followed over two decades of career-building revealed something less expected: a performer willing to take on animated worlds, adult comedies, Broadway stages, and post-apocalyptic sitcoms with equal commitment. The voice work arrived gradually, then more deliberately.
The Simpsons: Three Appearances, Three Characters
Radcliffe’s animation debut came in 2010 with The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror XXI,” where he voiced Edmund, a Twilight-style vampire in the “Tweenlight” segment. He returned in 2014 as Diggs, a falcon-obsessed student Bart befriends, and appeared again in 2018 as himself. Three separate characters across three episodes, making him one of the few guest actors to return for multiple distinct roles in the show’s run.
Playmobil: The Movie and Rex Dasher
His first full animated film role came with Playmobil: The Movie (2019), where he voiced Rex Dasher – a Bond-type secret agent described as over-confident and comically oblivious. Radcliffe leaned into the parody energy deliberately, calling it “a very, very silly, fun character.” It marked his first sustained voice lead in a theatrical animated feature.
Mulligan, Rick and Morty, and the Animated Comedy Circuit
The 2020s brought a run of animated television credits. Radcliffe joined the Netflix post-apocalyptic sitcom Mulligan (2023-2024) as King Jeremy Fitzhogg across twelve episodes – his most extended voice acting commitment at the time. He also voiced the Knight of the Sun in Rick and Morty’s “A Rick in King Mortur’s Mort” episode, and Sebastian Lines in an episode of Digman! (2023). A 2015 guest spot on BoJack Horseman as himself, and Robot Chicken appearances in 2012 and 2017, round out a steady animation presence spanning more than fifteen years.
Steps and Pizza Movie: Two Animated Features in 2026
2026 brings back-to-back animated film work. In Pizza Movie (Hulu, April 2026), Radcliffe voiced Lysander Featherhelm, Lord of the Syracuse Meadows a butterfly character woven into a surreal stoner comedy that earned strong early reviews. Later in the year, he joins Netflix’s Steps (November 20, 2026) as The Prince, a character co-director John Ripa described as “unlike any Prince you’ve seen before.” The film is a Cinderella reimagining centering on the stepsisters, with a voice cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Ali Wong, Stephanie Hsu, Peter Dinklage, and Bette Midler. Steps marks the first animated feature fully produced in-house by Netflix Animation Studios.
