Growing up in San Diego and later training through UCLA’s on-camera acting program, Courtney Lin came to voice acting from a background that was equal parts performance discipline and personal reinvestigation – having initially considered a path in medicine before pivoting entirely to entertainment. That shift paid off across a decade of steady work at studios including Bang Zoom!, Studiopolis, VSI Los Angeles, and Sound Cadence Studios. Lin’s credits span Korean live-action dubs, anime series, Western animation, and major AAA game titles, placing them among the more broadly deployed voice talents working in Los Angeles today.

Draculaura and the Monster High Reboot

Landing the lead role in Nickelodeon’s 2022 Monster High reboot marked a turning point in Lin’s trajectory. As Draculaura – the vampire daughter at the center of the franchise – Lin anchored multiple seasons through 2025 and brought a contemporary energy to one of animation’s most recognized monster characters. The casting also raised Lin’s profile in the Western animation space considerably, opening doors to further high-profile animation work.

Gaming Credits Across Major Franchises

Lin’s video game portfolio grew rapidly through the early-to-mid 2020s. Roles in Honkai: Star Rail as Huohuo, Renne Bright in The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, and additional voices in Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero established them as a dependable presence across both gacha titles and story-driven RPGs. Additional game credits include Diablo 4, Starfield, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Pokemon Masters EX.

Princess Peach in Mario Kart World

The most headline-generating credit of Lin’s career came with Mario Kart World in 2025, when they succeeded Samantha Kelly as the voice of Princess Peach and Baby Peach – a role Kelly had held for years across the Nintendo franchise. Lin confirmed the casting publicly after fans identified the name change in the game’s credits. The transition drew significant attention, and Lin addressed it directly on social media, expressing deep respect for the legacy of the character and the performers who shaped it before them.

Panty and Stocking, Barbie, and Recent Projects

Alongside the Peach announcement, Lin took on Panty in the English dub of New Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt for Amazon Prime, and voiced Barbie in Barbie Dream Besties beginning in 2024. Recent credits also include Heather Grayson in Rainbow High: Shine Brighter Together and Kana Sakuragi in Magilumiere Co. Ltd.
