Wraith / Yuri Watanabe

Wraith’s Story Role
After the catastrophic events of The City That Never Sleeps DLC, where Hammerhead’s Maggia massacre drove her to the edge of her principles, Yuri cut all ties with Spider-Man and vanished from the force entirely. In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, she resurfaces operating outside the law, hunting down The Flame cult, a fanatical group that poses a threat to all of New York. She pursues her targets with a ferocity that makes Spider-Man uncomfortable, not because she is wrong about the criminals, but because she refuses to draw any line on how far she will go.

Wraith’s Personality and Abilities
Gone is the by-the-book detective who believed the system could win. The Wraith persona is built on fear itself: her sleek purple armor, glowing yellow mask, and signature chains are designed to terrorize before a single punch is thrown. She blends hand-to-hand combat with psychological warfare, turning her deep knowledge of criminal psychology (honed over years as a cop) into a weapon. Her whole philosophy boils down to one brutal idea: if the law cannot stop them, make them afraid of what comes next.
Who Voices Wraith in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
Tara Platt reprises the role of Yuri Watanabe in the English version, a casting choice that carries real weight given she has voiced the character since the first game. Fans of JRPGs will likely recognize her as the iconic Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3 and Edelgard von Hresvelg from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In the Japanese dub, Wraith is voiced by Ayumi Tsunematsu.
