Magneto

Magneto’s Role and Fighting Style in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls
True to his title as the Master of Magnetism, Magneto reshapes the very stage he fights on. His projectile attacks hurl scrap metal across the screen, and every piece that connects doesn’t just deal damage, it creates debris. That debris then becomes raw material, pulled back into his magnetic field to amplify follow-up strikes or yank opponents straight toward him for devastating combo setups. He splits the difference between a zoning powerhouse and a technical grappler, rewarding players who read the board as much as they read their opponent. Exhibition footage from EVO 2026 underscored just how much control he exerts over spacing, with his Polarity Shift ability letting him push or pull fighters at will.
Who Voices Magneto in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls?
James Arnold Taylor brings Magneto to life in the English version, reprising a role he previously held in Marvel Rivals. Taylor is one of the most recognizable voices in animation, best known for his long-running portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi across Star Wars: The Clone Wars and numerous related projects. In the Japanese version, veteran actor Hochu Otsuka steps into the role. Otsuka carries enormous weight in Japanese voice acting circles, with decades of defining performances including Jiraiya in Naruto and Xigbar across the Kingdom Hearts series, making him a natural fit for a character of Magneto’s gravitas.
