Hades

Hades’s Trickster Gameplay and Racing Style
Few characters in the Speedstorm roster swing between moods quite like Hades does, and the game leans directly into that duality. His unique skill, “Lord of the Underworld,” reflects his two signature modes straight from the movie: cool and calculating, or white-hot with rage. In normal activation, he slips into a collected state that refills nitro fuel each time he overtakes a rival. Flip the switch to charged, however, and any opponent bold enough to pass him triggers a massive fire explosion, turning his legendary temper into a literal weapon on the track. His in-game design preserves the iconic blue flame hair and menacing yellow eyes from the film, now fitted into a sleek dark gray driving suit with cyan and turquoise accents that feel appropriately villainous.
Who Voices Hades in Disney Speedstorm?
James Woods returns to reprise the role he has made entirely his own since the original 1997 Hercules film, where his fast-talking, improvisational energy earned widespread critical praise. Woods has voiced Hades across the Kingdom Hearts video game series, House of Mouse, the Hercules animated TV series (winning a Daytime Emmy for his work in season 2), and most recently in Once Upon a Studio, making Disney Speedstorm yet another chapter in a decades-long run with the character.
