Caroline Scott-Kenway

Long before Edward Kenway ever set foot on the Jackdaw, there was Caroline Scott, the Bristol-born woman sharp enough to see through both his charm and his excuses. In Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, her role has been meaningfully expanded, with original writer Darby McDevitt returning to craft new scenes that deepen her emotional presence in Edward's story.

Caroline Scott-Kenway’s Role and Personality

Daughter of a wealthy tea merchant, Caroline gave up a life of comfort to marry Edward, a decision her father never forgave. She was clear-eyed and self-possessed in a way Edward rarely was, discouraging his fantasies of privateering not out of timidity but out of genuine good sense. When his drinking and ambitions became too much, she left him to live with her parents, raising their daughter Jennifer largely on her own. That quiet resilience defines her: Caroline never needed piracy or adventure to have a stronger backbone than most people in the story. Resynced introduces new scenes between her and Edward written explicitly to give that early marriage more dramatic weight, exploring the theme of greed that sits at the heart of his entire arc.

Who Voices Caroline Scott-Kenway in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced?

In the original 2013 game, Caroline was voiced by British actress Luisa Guerreiro, who also appeared in Disco Elysium as the East-Insulindian Repeater Station and Yvonne. As of the game’s July 9, 2026 launch, Ubisoft has not publicly confirmed the English voice cast for Caroline’s expanded role in Resynced.
