Video Game: Alien: Isolation

Trust nobody who works for Weyland-Yutani. That lesson plays out quietly through Taylor, the corporate suit who boards the Torrens alongside Amanda Ripley and the synthetic Samuels, bound for the doomed Sevastopol Station.

Taylor’s Corporate Agenda

On paper, her job sounds dull: oversee the legal handover of the Nostromo’s flight recorder and file the accident report. A junior executive eager to impress the people upstairs, she throws herself into the assignment with the ambition of someone chasing a promotion. Then the spacewalk to Sevastopol goes wrong, the EVA line snaps, and she ends up injured and stranded inside a station crawling with something nobody warned her about. Her real interest surfaces later, when the company’s true prize reveals itself. Greed, after all, is the franchise’s oldest monster, and Taylor proves she’s no exception to it.

Who Voices Nina Taylor in Alien: Isolation?

British actress Emerald O’Hanrahan gives Taylor her clipped, calculating delivery. Radio listeners know her best as Emma Grundy, a role she’s held on BBC Radio 4’s long-running drama The Archers since 2010. Gamers may also recognize her work as Lucy Thorne, the cold-blooded antagonist of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, proving she has a real knack for characters you shouldn’t turn your back on.
