Behind every world-ending conspiracy, there is a mind too brilliant for its own conscience, and Sir Nicholas Webb fits that archetype to a chilling degree. The CEO of Webb Industries and the shadow architect of the THEIA and HYPERION quantum AI conspiracy, he is the true puppet master pulling the strings throughout IO Interactive's 007 First Light.

Sir Nicholas Webb’s Story Role in 007 First Light

Webb presents himself to MI6 as a cooperative tech visionary, supplying the agency with THEIA, a quantum computer built to gather global intelligence on conflicts worldwide. The arrangement seems mutually beneficial, until Bond uncovers the existence of HYPERION, a clandestine clone of the same system housed at a remote Antarctic facility, and realizes Webb has been using MI6 as cover for a far darker agenda. His endgame involves a coup d’etat designed to consolidate control over the global defense and tech industry, with Foreign Secretary Bright serving as a willing co-conspirator. Webb even weaponizes his own son Damien, manipulating him into carrying out the dirty work while maintaining a veneer of respectability. His end comes at the hands of spy Charlotte Roth during Bond’s infiltration of the Antarctic base, making him one of the rare Bond villains whose death arrives not from 007 directly, but from a betrayal within his own web of alliances.

Who Voices Nicholas Webb in 007 First Light?

English actor Anthony Howell brings Sir Nicholas Webb to life, delivering the character’s cold intellectual authority with the kind of understated menace the role demands. Howell is no stranger to gaming audiences, having voiced the formidable Margit and Morgott in Elden Ring, a performance that cemented his reputation as one of the more distinctive voices in high-profile video game casting. On television, he spent nearly a decade as Sgt. Paul Milner in the long-running British series Foyle’s War, a role that showcased the range he now channels into Webb’s composed, calculating exterior.
