He is pulled into a vision of his slain family, content to stay until Nezuko’s fire-tinged blood jolts him awake to the truth. That same stubborn devotion defines him in the waking world too: he refuses to kill the demon possessing the train conductor, even while bleeding from a stab wound, and later channels grief into power when he unleashes the Hinokami Kagura against Enmu. Watching Rengoku fall to Akaza in the film’s final stretch leaves a permanent mark on him, hardening his resolve to grow stronger no matter the cost.

Zach Aguilar provides the English dub voice of Tanjiro, a role that sits alongside his work as Genos in One-Punch Man and Slaine Troyard in Aldnoah.Zero. Natsuki Hanae voices him in the original Japanese version, the performance that helped establish Hanae as one of the most recognizable voice actors of his generation. Both actors also share the role of Sieg from Fate/Apocrypha.
