Bulma

Bulma’s Role in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
As the daughter of Dr. Brief and heir to the Capsule Corporation empire, Bulma brings an intellect to the battlefield that no amount of Saiyan training can replicate. In Kakarot, she applies her engineering skills to practical effect, most notably by repairing Raditz’s scouter after it overloads during the Saiyan saga, using it to detect incoming power levels and alert the team to new threats. Her Dragon Radar remains one of the most critical pieces of technology in the entire game’s narrative. Sharp-tongued, confident, and refreshingly self-assured, Bulma never lets anyone forget she is the smartest person in the room, a trait that made her the franchise’s cornerstone female presence since its very first chapter back in 1984.
Who Voices Bulma in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot?
Monica Rial delivers the English performance, lending Bulma the same wit and fire she brought to Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia and Mirajane Strauss in Fairy Tail, two roles that cemented her status as one of the most prolific anime dubbing voices in North America. On the Japanese side, Aya Hisakawa took over the role following the passing of the original voice actress Hiromi Tsuru in 2017. Hisakawa, best known internationally for voicing Sailor Mercury in Sailor Moon and Kero in Cardcaptor Sakura, brings a seasoned warmth and edge to Bulma that honors the character’s long legacy.
