Sabretooth / Victor Creed

Sabretooth’s Role in Marvel’s Wolverine
Victor Creed enters the game as a reluctant collaborator to Wolverine, their shared history inside Team X creating a bond too tangled to cleanly sever. Insomniac’s narrative director Walt Williams built the pair’s dynamic around shared trauma and emotional codependency, with a pivotal scene during a military base assault revealing what Williams described as mutual yearning between the two. Logan recoils from it; Creed channels it outward as aggression. That push-and-pull gives Sabretooth a psychological depth rarely explored in action games, positioning him less as a monster and more as a dark reflection of everything Logan is still fighting to leave behind.
Who Voices Sabretooth in Marvel’s Wolverine?
Brett Gipson steps into Creed’s role, bringing the kind of coiled physical menace the character demands. Gipson is an actor with roots in commanding, grit-laden characters, and his work as Jim Hopper in Netflix’s Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 showed his ability to project authority wrapped around something deeply wounded. In Contra: Operation Galuga, he voiced the antagonist Varanis, another role that required him to carry villainous weight without slipping into caricature. For Sabretooth, those two registers converge, a voice that can growl a threat and carry decades of buried hurt in the same breath.
