Steven Yeun steps into the role of Zuko, officially confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 by series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Yeun is no stranger to animated complexity, having voiced Mark Grayson, the conflicted teenage superhero at the center of Amazon’s Invincible, a role that required the same balance of vulnerability and intensity that defines Zuko. He also previously voiced Wan, the first Avatar, in The Legend of Korra, making this a genuine homecoming to the Avatar universe. Konietzko noted at SDCC: “We loved working with him and we’re excited to have him back.”
