Fireworks have always followed Jubilee, but in Marvel Rivals Season 9 those blasts finally do more than dazzle a crowd. She arrives as a Strategist, turning pyrotechnic plasma into a tool for patching up allies while anyone standing too close still gets blinded or blown back.

Jubilee’s Story Role

A Timestream Entanglement traps her son Shogo in dragon form partway through Season 9: The Mystery of Thebes, and Jubilee strikes a desperate bargain with Apocalypse to bring him back. The price is steep. She becomes his Horseman of Famine, a role that drags the wisecracking mutant into a far darker corner of the story than fans are used to seeing her in. It’s a sharp turn for a character built on comic relief, but the stakes give her firework routine real weight.

Jubilee’s Kit and Personality

Throwing a Blooming Ball and popping it with Dazzling Detonation marks a target, and landing a normal attack on that mark sends her own attack speed climbing fast. Her Shift ability turns that momentum into a sprint, adding extra jump height and unlimited basic attacks before finishing with a knockback that heals everyone nearby. Firework Finale, her ultimate, spreads a toggleable blast radius that knocks enemies back while topping off allies caught inside it. None of it plays passive. She darts in, blinds whoever gets close, and heals through the chaos instead of sitting back at range.
