Blade

Video Game: Marvel Rivals

Born cursed and built for war, Eric Brooks has spent his entire existence walking the knife's edge between humanity and the supernatural. In Marvel Rivals, Blade arrives as the 41st hero added to the roster, a Daywalker whose vendetta against Dracula drives him straight into the heart of the game's King in Black storyline.

Blade’s Role and Playstyle in Marvel Rivals

Terse, relentless, and allergic to ceremony, Blade operates as a Duelist who punishes mistakes with extreme prejudice. He switches between the Ancestral Sword for devastating close-range burst damage and a Hunter’s Shotgun when enemies dare to keep their distance. His Bloodline Awakening ability flips his vampiric nature into a weapon, trading reduced self-healing for lifesteal that keeps him in a fight long after most Duelists would drop. The game even echoes his 1998 film roots, weaving a remix of the iconic Vampire Dance Club track into his ultimate skill, Thousand-Fold Slash.

Who Voices Blade in Marvel Rivals?

Gabe Kunda brings Blade to life in the English version of Marvel Rivals, delivering the character’s signature no-nonsense edge with authority. Kunda is well known to competitive gaming audiences as KAY/O in Valorant and Newcastle in Apex Legends, and he gave Diablo IV’s fallen angel Inarius a cold, commanding gravity. Anime fans will also recognize his work as Rock Lock in My Hero Academia and Fisher Tiger in One Piece.
