Universa’s Role in Invincible VS

In Quarter Up’s brutal 3v3 tag fighter, Universa is classified as a highly technical, mid-range character whose threat level climbs sharply the longer a match goes on. Her defining mechanic is Boost-siphoning: a forward special that strips 50% of an opponent’s Boost Gauge while simultaneously filling her own, starving enemies of the resources they need for EX moves, supers, and defensive tools like the Assist Breaker. Once her Boost Meter hits its Max indicator, her amplified Specials deal dramatically increased damage, turning every resource exchange into a slow-burn death sentence for whoever is on the receiving end. Her aerial electrical orbs extend her reach from the mid-range she prefers, and her “Entropy” super  a forcefield that absorbs incoming projectiles and replenishes her own Boost, gives her a momentum reversal tool that punishes opponents who try to zone her out. Quarter Up debuted her alongside The Immortal as the first two Season 1 DLC characters on June 30, 2026, with players getting their first hands-on time at the Invincible VS booth during Evo Las Vegas that same weekend.

Who Voices Universa in Invincible VS?

Danai Gurira, celebrated for her roles as Michonne in The Walking Dead and Okoye across multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe entries including Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, originated the voice of Universa when the character debuted in Season 4 of the Prime Video animated series in March 2026. As of the Season 1 DLC launch, the voice cast for Universa specifically within Invincible VS has not been officially confirmed by Quarter Up or Skybound Games; several roles in the game were recast from their animated counterparts, so her in-game VA will be updated here once verified.
