Bloodhound

Bloodhound, known in-lore as Blóðhundur, is one of the most iconic and mysterious Legends in Apex Legends. Born in 2695 on the planet Talos, they grew up alongside a deep reverence for Old Norse mythology, speaking a blend of English, Icelandic, and Māori that makes their voice lines instantly recognizable among fans. Confirmed as non-binary by Respawn Entertainment, Bloodhound uses they/them pronouns throughout all official materials, making them one of gaming’s most visible non-binary characters.
As a Recon Legend, Bloodhound fills the role of the ultimate tracker on any squad. Their passive ability, Tracker, lets them read enemy footprints, door interactions, damage taken, and items looted within the past 60 seconds. The tactical ability Eye of the Allfather sends out a pulse that briefly reveals enemies, traps, and clues through walls and structures directly ahead. Their ultimate, Beast of the Hunt, transforms Bloodhound into a predatory force, boosting movement speed by 25% and painting enemies in a vivid red highlight, with each elimination extending the duration.
Lore-wise, Bloodhound entered the Apex Games not for glory or money, but to honor Boone, a deceased lover killed in the Thunderdome. By accumulating enough victories, they believe they can earn Boone a place in Valhalla, guided by the Old Norse gods they call upon before every battle. This spiritual depth gives Bloodhound a weight that few other Legends carry.
