Scott Arthur is a Welsh actor and voice artist from Llanelli, South Wales, Arthur has built a solid body of work in games as Blaidd and Nomadic Merchants in Elden Ring. He voiced Dillon in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (2022) and its DLC expansion Future Redeemed (2023), both well-regarded entries in Monolith Soft's RPG series. In 2025 he took on the role of Marquis Messam Elmdore in Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, a long-awaited revival that carries serious weight for franchise fans. Most recently, in March 2026 he joined the cast of Crimson Desert, voicing Cassius Morten among several other characters in the highly anticipated open-world action RPG.

The Role That Put Scott Arthur on the Map

If you’ve played Elden Ring, you know Blaidd. The hulking half-wolf companion became one of the most beloved characters in FromSoftware’s 2022 masterpiece, and Scott Arthur is the voice behind him. Arthur voiced both Blaidd and Nomadic Merchant 4 in the game, which holds a 9.4 rating on IMDb. Fans reacted with genuine surprise when they discovered the warm, brooding Welsh voice belonged to this same actor, and the role launched Arthur into a whole new fanbase practically overnight.

Arthur is no stranger to on-screen roles either. He played Young DC Paul Bethell in the BBC true-crime drama Steeltown Murders (2023), Peter Fleming in Borg vs. McEnroe (2017) alongside Shia LaBeouf, and Lance Corporal Shadwell in Good Omens (2019) with David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
