Linda Marlowe is an Australian-born British actress and voice artist, known for her decades of stage, film, and television work. A celebrated interpreter of Steven Berkoff's theatrical canon through her one-woman show Berkoff's Women, she has also made her mark in voice acting, most notably as Cynthia Weaver in the award-winning video game Alan Wake II (2023) and in Doctor Who audio productions.

She trained at the Central School of Drama and made her screen debut in 1955, going on to build a wide-ranging career across stage, TV, and film. She is perhaps best known for her long association with director and playwright Steven Berkoff, performing in many of his theatrical works and creating the acclaimed one-woman show Berkoff’s Women, earning her the title of his “muse” among critics.

Television & Film

Her TV credits include a recurring role as Sylvie Carter in EastEnders (2014–2017), appearances in Holby CityCasualtyMidsomer MurdersCoronation Street, and The Borgias. On film, she has appeared in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), The House of Mirth (2000), and Hellraiser: Deader (2005).

Voice Work

In video games, Marlowe voiced Cynthia Weaver in Alan Wake II (2023), one of her most prominent voice acting roles to date. She has also lent her voice to audio dramas, including the role of Gusta Pardo in Doctor Who: The Third Doctor Adventures (2018) and Osloo in the Doctor Who audio story The Macros.
