Kenji Utsumi

Kenji Utsumi, born August 26, 1937, in Kitakyushu, was a legendary Japanese voice actor whose booming, powerful voice defined iconic anime and video game characters for decades. This celebrated voice actor dominated as Raoh in Fist of the North Star, Alex Louis Armstrong in Fullmetal Alchemist, Shenlong in Dragon Ball Z, and Colonel Volgin in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. He founded Ken Production in 1984 and received a lifetime achievement award at the third Seiyu Awards. His final major role was Garland in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, showcasing menacing gravitas until his passing in 2013.
