Miles Morales

New York already had Spider-Man, but Harlem needed one of its own. Miles Morales steps into that role across Insomniac's Spider-Man series, first appearing as a grounded supporting character in the 2018 PS4 game before taking center stage in the 2020 standalone title, where he must hold the city together while Peter Parker is abroad.

Miles Morales’s Story and Character

Grief and growth are inseparable threads in Miles’s arc. The loss of his father Jefferson Davis during the Inner Demons attack in the first game reshapes everything about who he is, pushing him toward the volunteer work at F.E.A.S.T. and eventually into the web-slinger life he never anticipated. What sets him apart from Peter is not just his bio-electric Venom Blast or his camouflage ability; it is the way his entire identity is rooted in community. Harlem is not a backdrop for him, it is the reason he fights. Juggling his mother Rio’s political campaign, a close friendship with Ganke Lee, and a complicated relationship with his uncle Aaron Davis, Miles is constantly reminded that being Spider-Man means navigating human loyalties just as much as it means stopping supervillains.

Who Voices Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man?

Nadji Jeter brings Miles to life in English across the entire Insomniac series, delivering a performance that earned him a D.I.C.E. Award for Outstanding Achievement in Character for the 2020 standalone game and a BAFTA win for the 2023 sequel. Jeter’s connection to the role runs deeper than craft alone; like Miles, he grew up shaped by a strong single mother and a rich cultural background, qualities that surface in every scene. Fans of Naughty Dog’s work will also recognize him as young Sam in the original The Last of Us. In Japanese, Anri Katsu handles the role, a veteran of the dub world whose catalogue spans Nile Dok in Attack on Titan and Motoharu Tsuchimikado in A Certain Magical Index.
