Milton James (Milt Jamin, 1939–2018) was an American voice actor best known for voicing Moneybags in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, Baal in Diablo II, CABAL in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, and the Archmage in the Warcraft III series. With over 100 acting credits spanning video games, anime dubbing, and television, he remains a defining voice of late-1990s and early-2000s gaming.

Milton James built a rich legacy in video game voice acting across several decades. He is perhaps best remembered as the greedy bear Moneybags in Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! (1999) and as the villainous Baal in Diablo II (2000) and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (2001). His game credits also include CABAL in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun (1999), Dr. Citan Uzuki in Xenogears (1998), the Archmage in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002) and its expansion Frozen Throne (2003), and the United Liberty Paper Man in both Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) and Grand Theft Auto V (2013).

Anime & Film

Beyond games, James had a substantial presence in English-language anime dubbing. Notable roles include Leonof the Puppetmaster and Sheriff Stan in TrigunGeneral Gomez in Macross PlusColonel Adam Reinhardt in Robotech II: The Sentinels, and Prince Zordar in Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato. He also appeared in the English dubs of Ghost in the Shell (1995) and Ninja Scroll (1993), the latter featuring him as Mushizo and Shinkuro.

Television & Film Appearances

Alongside his voice work, James made live-action guest appearances on shows such as Mork & MindyNight Court, and the original Battlestar Galactica. His final video game credit was Ramone and Smokey in Cars 3: Driven to Win (2017), released just a year before his passing.
