Julie Kavner, born September 7, 1950, in Los Angeles, is a legendary voice actress with a distinctive "honeyed gravel voice" that defines television animation. This Emmy-winning voice actor immortalized Marge Simpson on The Simpsons since 1989, also voicing Patty, Selma, and Jacqueline Bouvier across the series and numerous video games including The Simpsons: Hit & Run and The Simpsons Game.
