Higgs Monaghan

Higgs’s Role in the Story
Behind the golden skull mask sits a man shaped by tragedy long before Amelie ever found him. He killed his abusive uncle in self-defense as a child and later built a life as a porter before Coffin and Fragile took him in. Eventually, he met Fragile, helped expand her delivery service, and appeared to settle, until Amelie revealed the truth about the Death Stranding. :antCitation[]{citations=”d30ad68d-c4f3-423f-9794-723fbe540296″ injected=”space”} That revelation rewired his loyalties entirely. He gained the ability to summon Beached Things and trigger Timefall storms at will, using both to torment Sam Porter Bridges throughout his journey across the ravaged country, all in service of hastening what Amelie calls the Last Stranding.
Who Voices Higgs Monaghan in Death Stranding?
Troy Baker brings Higgs to life in English, lending the character his own motion-captured likeness in a rare case of an actor playing a role built around his real face. Baker is also known for voicing Joel in The Last of Us, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, and Revolver Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In the original Japanese version, Satoshi Mikami voices Higgs. Mikami is widely recognized as the go to Japanese dub voice for Benedict Cumberbatch, including his performance as Stephen Strange across the Doctor Strange and Avengers films.
