Sean-Ryan Petersen

Petersen was born on July 25, 2000, in Los Angeles, and grew up in the Santa Monica, Venice, and West LA areas. His career started at age six with promotional work, and by 2009 he had booked the title role of “Olly” in the PBS Sprout series Dive Olly Dive!, recording 52 episodes. He went on to voice the lead character “Kevin” in the Martha Stewart-produced animated series Martha and Friends, and served as the narrator/BlackBox recorder for two seasons of the acclaimed BlackBoxTV series.
Animation Breakthrough
Petersen’s most prominent animation role came in 2019 when he was cast as Valentino one of the two title characters in Cartoon Network’s Victor & Valentino, a series rooted in Mesoamerican mythology. He landed the role after auditioning through his agent at CESD and meeting show creator Diego Molano at Cartoon Network’s Burbank studio. The show was quickly renewed for a second series, cementing his place in the animated TV world.
Video Game Work
In gaming, Petersen voiced Chadley in both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (2024) a role that became especially notable given how much Chadley features throughout Rebirth. The character proved divisive among fans, which the Reddit community itself credited as a sign of Petersen’s effective performance. He has also voiced Joe Creigh in Fallout 76’s Wastelanders update.
Additional Credits
Beyond animation and games, Petersen contributed ADR work to films including Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and DC’s Aquaman. His TV credits also include guest roles in live-action series and work on Interrupting Chicken and Identity Crisis.
